…the fine print

HI. I’VE BEGUN working with the Marist Vocations team & the Australian Marist Brothers in the new role of part-time Communications Officer based in Adelaide at Aquinas College. I’m pleased to be working with Brother Rod Thomson and the Melbourne Vocations team to broaden awareness of the vital work done by the Marist community both in Australia and overseas – as well as growing participation in Marist Australian activities & vocations.

Having a social justice background and working with member-based development agencies such as Community Aid Abroad (Oxfam) I am aware how crucial it is to promote communications within an organisation so as to maximize campaign involvement & general media interest. In the next twelve months I certainly plan to beat the drum about the Marist faith & mission as well as the extraordinary contributions being made locally & overseas right now. But I do need the help of the Marist community also.If you have news or events that you want to share with either the Marist community or the Australian media please submit any items to me & I will do my best to promote these. Please send all submsissions & ideas to me here – c/- ozmaristnsr@gmail.com Best wishes from Nick Ramage :: Vocations Communications

Well good – this works also… [You can post replies to a comment here..]

Thanks Nick
I lay out the Brothers’ Newsletter. Br Paul Gilchrist is my main source of what to run, then Solidarity and Vocations have a go; then some Brothers send items in or I run some articles I thing may be topical or useful for reflection.
It gets put up on our Province site which by and large is pretty tired, not updated; it calls for someone with dedicated attention. 4 Jun 07
